Matte Finish Lipstick Directions

With any color of matte lipstick, you will want to prep your lips first with some exfoliation and moisture. This not only prevents your lips from developing a chapped, cakey look, but protects them from being dried out by the matte color.

How to prep: apply a moisturizing lip balm, a lip exfoliating scrub, or Vaseline to your lips. Let it sit for a few minutes while your lips absorb the moisture. Next, take a soft toothbrush and gently scrub your lips until all of the moisturizing agent and dead skin has been scrubbed away.

Apply a liberal amount of lip color to both top and bottom lip as desired. For best results, apply using a lip brush (available as a part of our Vessie Goldsmith Makeup Brush Set) to avoid a messy-looking or uneven application.
